It is the mission of Woods Child Development Center to inspire excellence in learning and creativity, to build character, and to foster respect for others and the world around us by providing an engaging, developmentally appropriate program for children ages 2 to 4 in a nurturing, Christian environment.
Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church features artists in their art gallery several times a year. This quarter, the children of Woods Child Development Center were chosen to be the featured artists. The children worked joyfully to create wonderful art designed around the theme of Seed How We Grow. All the children, aged 2 to 5, used many different mediums to create artwork to depict spring growth. Some children painted flowers while other children created artwork including rain, grass, and the sun. Some children even worked together to make group collages. Please visit the gallery upstairs to see this wonderful artwork.
Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church featured some of our artists this past advent season upstairs in the art gallery outside the sanctuary.

Art Night 2023
Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church features artists in their art gallery several times a year. In April and May of 2023, the children of Woods Child Development Center were chosen to be the featured artists. The children worked diligently to create wonderful art designed around the theme of The Earth. All the children, aged 2 to 5, used many different mediums to create artwork to depict what they see when they hear the word Earth. Some children painted the Earth while other children created artwork of what they see on Earth including rainbows, flowers, trees, and sunrises. Some children even worked together to make group collages depicting the four different seasons. Please scroll through the children’s wonderful artwork below.

Fall Pajama and Movie Night
Summer 5's Lemonade Stand
Over the summer, our Summer 5s children put together a weekly lemonade stand to help support the Cowden family, a local family who lost their house in a fire. The 5's made the stand, the lemonade, flyers, posters, and then sold the lemonade each week. Now, a few weeks later, Mom reports, "Our family is doing well, and our spirits are high thanks to all the love and support from our family, friends, and especially our community. We have experienced lots of blessings amid all the challenges. After a hectic summer, we are finally settled in a furnished rental house."
Woods CDC is blessed to be part of such a caring Severna Park Community.
